Objective image quality assessment by simulating human perception

Quality control for your images

When you compress images you can use DSSIM to ensure images have consistent quality and are free from compression artefacts noticeable by humans.

Fast C and Rust APIs

Speed up image comparisons by integrating directly with the C API instead of needlessly re-encoding files on disk.

Evaluate tools and vendors

Avoid snake oil. With DSSIM you can create robust large-scale benchmarks to find which tools offer best quality on your data.

What is DSSIM?

DSSIM compares images and gives a similarity score, which is close to human judgement.

It's based on the SSIM algorithm, but improves it by adding multi-scale processing and support for color and alpha channels.
